Appointment of Non-executive Director

Aggreko is pleased to announce the appointment of Prof Dr Uwe Krueger as a Non-executive Director, with effect from 1 February, 2015.

Uwe is currently Chief Executive Officer of WS Atkins plc, a role which he has held since August 2011.  He is a physicist with an honorary professorship from the University of Frankfurt and an honorary PhD from Heriot-Watt University.  Most of his career has been spent leading engineering and consulting organisations in North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific.

He is currently on the boards of SUSI Partners AG, Zurich and Ontex S.A., Brussels.  Uwe also lectures at the University of Frankfurt on renewable energy. 

His former appointments include Chief Executive Office of Oerlikon, a Swiss company specialising in high-tech machine and plant engineering; Director at Texas Pacific Group, a private equity investment firm; President of Cleantech Switzerland, a trade promotion organisation which focuses on sustainability; and various leadership positions at Hochtief AG, an international provider of construction services.  He began his career at A.T. Kearney, an international strategy consulting firm.
